On a modified conjecture of De Giorgi
speaker: Matthias Roeger (Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences Leipzig)abstract: We prove a conjecture of De Giorgi from 1991 in a modified form in three dimensions that the sum of the area and the Willmore functional is the Gamma-limit of a diffuse Landau-Ginzburg approximation.
