Spectral gap in partially hyperbolic systems
speaker: Roberto Castorrini (Università di Pisa)abstract: We study the spectral properties of the transfer operator associated to a simple class of partially hyperbolic fast-slow systems. Under a checkable condition we show the existence of anisotropic Banach spaces on which the transfer operator acts as a quasi-compact operator, and discuss some implications on the statistical properties of the system. (This is a joint work with C. Liverani).
