The maximal Lie subalgebras of exceptional Lie algebras over fields of good characteristics
speaker: Alexander Premet (University of Manchester)abstract: Let G be an exceptional simple algebraic group defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p>0. We assume that p is good for G, that is p>5 if G is of type E8 and p>3 in all other cases. In my talk, based on recent joint work with David Stewart, I will describe all maximal Lie subalgebras of Lie(G).
