abstract: In recent joint work with Matt Baker, we have formulated a dynamical analog to the Andre-Oort conjecture for moduli spaces of one-dimensional complex dynamical systems. We are able to prove it in special cases, using methods that combine number theory (arithmetic equidistribution) and classical complex analysis (univalent function theory).
