Decay and Smoothness of Dispersion Managed Solitons
speaker: Mehmet Burak Erdogan (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)abstract: Dispersion managed solitons (DMS) are the soliton-like solutions of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation on the real line with periodically varying dispersion. We prove that DMS and their Fourier transforms decay exponentially. This is a joint work with D. Hundertmark and Y.-R. Lee.
