On A-modular forms
speaker: Federico Pellarin (Université Jean Monnet, Saint-Etienne)abstract: Let A be the polynomial ring FqT. the forms of the title are deformations of Drinfeld modular and quasi-modular forms (in positive characteristic) that can be constructed with the help of a variant of Legendre's formula for Anderson A-motives of rank two. These forms can be used to solve classical problems in the theory of Drinfeld modular and quasi-modular forms. We find a bound for the order of vanishing of a quasi-modular form at infinity, similar in spirit to a multiplicity estimate by Nesterenko for polynomials in Ramanujan's series P, Q, R. Other problems that can be dealt with these forms (Hecke operators etc.) will also be briefly discussed.
