Aspects of Moduli Theory

The quantum McKay correspondence

speaker: Jim Bryan (University of British Columbia)

abstract: Let G be a finite subgroup of SO(3) and let Y be the resolution of C3G given by the G-Hilbert scheme. The classical McKay correspondence describes the classical geometry of Y in terms of the representation theory of G. We describe the quantum geometry of Y, namely its Gromov-Witten theory, in terms of a root system canonically associated to G.
